Scope of Activity

Main Office of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina carries out the following tasks:

• Represents the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, provides relevant information to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and cooperates with this Court;
• Ensures enforcement of the decisions passed by the Human Rights Chamber, by the Commission for Human Rights and by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Cooperates with the Agent of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the European Court of Human Rights in the cases related to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ensures enforcement of its Decisions;
• Prepares technical elements needed to ensure enforcement of final and binding verdicts  passed by the courts in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Conducts operative implementation and monitors implementation of the warrants issued by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: Government of the Federation) related to temporary release of the persons accused by the International Criminal Tribunal for Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991, and other tasks upon request of this Tribunal;
• Follows-up the implementation of the Work Program of the Government of the Federation;
• Follows-up the implementation of the Government’s policies;
• Coordinates the work of the Government’s offices according to the instructions issued by the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers;
• Prepares the technical elements for the measures launched by the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers in occasion of streamlining the work of the Government of the Federation and harmonizes the work of the Federal administration organs in execution of the political and administrative guidelines issued by the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Federation;
• Follows-up the implementation of instructions and requests issued by the Prime Minister to the heads of the Federal administration organs and Federal administrative organizations relating to the tasks arising from the scopes of relevant organs and organizations;
• Organizes inter-sectoral cooperation on issues subject to the scopes of several Federal Ministries and prepares the proposals for settling the disputable issues among those Ministries;
• Prepares technical and organizational elements for cooperation between the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers on one side, and the relevant organs in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cantons, Cities and Municipalities, Republika Srpska and Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the other side;
• Cooperates with the Secretariat of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Office of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Legislation and Harmonization with the EU Regulations, the Office of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Public Relations and with other technical services/offices of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Prepares technical and organizational elements for the Prime Minister's involvement in activities of the Coordination Board for Economic Development and EU Integrations and of the Fiscal Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Prepares technical and organizational elements for cooperation of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers with the Businessmen and Employers Associations, Trade Unions, Associations of the veterans and their families, disabled persons, associations for youth policy, and other civil society organizations, institutions, media and citizens;
• Carries out the technical tasks for the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, as  the  president of the Coordination of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• Prepares technical and organizational elements for cooperation of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers with the international institutions;
• Coordinates work of the staff providing personal security services to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers;
• Organizes official visits and meetings of the Prime Ministers and Deputy Prime Ministers;
• Organizes and ensures administrative-technical support to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers;
• Performs other tasks upon instruction of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers.
