CURRICULUM VITAE

Born on August 18, 1953 in Sarajevo.

He had completed elementary, secondary education – High School of Electrical Engineering, then a two year post secondary School of Administration and the university education at the Faculty for Business Studies, acquiring the titles of Administrative Lawyer and Graduate Economist.
He had completed the FBI Academy in Virginia, USA, and the FBI Academy „I LEA“ in Budapest, Hungary, acquiring the title of an Anti-Terrorism Specialist.

Since 1987 had been employed with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In course of his career in the field of criminal police, he used to hold the job positions from the police station investigator, through a number of managing positions in the departments of the criminological police of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, to the Head of the Sector of the Criminological Police of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, headed by him since February 2007, holding the rank of „Chief Inspector“

In the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, inter alia, he used to hold the position of the Assistant Minister for Criminal Police, as well as the Acting Minister in the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton.

Since 1970 until 1984 he used to be a professional athlete.

Awardee of a number of national and international recognitions and medals for exceptional results achieved in the field of interior affairs.

Married, father of one.

Scope of Activity

preventing and disclosing criminal acts of the international crime and terrorism, unauthorized narcotics trafficking and organized crime and other criminal acts falling under jurisdiction of the Federation BiH;
tracing and capture of those who committed such criminal acts and their handing over to the relevant authorities;
providing criminological-technical expert opinions;
issues and publishes INTERPOL's international, Federal and inter-cantonal pursuits;
cooperates with relevant prosecutor's offices in relation to processing the criminal cases;
Federation’s citizenship issues;
providing security services to eligible persons and buildings of the Federation;
safeguard of human rights and civil freedoms in area of the interior affairs;
trade and transport of explosive substances;
supervision of application of the Law on Agencies and Interior Services for Protection of Persons and Property of F BiH;
carries out education for the rank of police officer and junior inspector, organizes and implements the courses and seminars for professional training and specialization of the police officers in the police bodies of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosnia and Herzegovina;
carries out training for certification of the persons providing security services for people and property (security officer);
carries out also other tasks covered by its scope as stipulated by the Law on Interior Affairs and other relevant regulations.
