CURRICULUM VITAE

Born on July 24, 1963 in Puračić, Municipality Lukavac.

Following completion of elementary and secondary education, studied at the Faculty of Philosophy, Department Orientalistics, and after completion of the postgraduate study at the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo acquired the title of the Master of Political Science. Fluent in Arabic, Turkish and English.

Since 1992 until 1995 – actively involved in defense of the country, carrying out the duty of the President of the Wartime Presidency of the Municipality Teslić.

After the war was ended in Bosnia and Herzegovina, had participated in return and rebuilding process in the territory of the Municipality Teslić and Northern Bosnia region, as well as in the local self-governance reform process. Since 2000 until 2002 – Representative in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska.

Since 2002 until 2010 – Vice President of the Republic of Srpska for two terms.

In the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) held the following positions: President of the Initiative Committee of the SDA Party Teslić; President of the Municipal Committee of SDA Teslić; President of the Regional Committee of SDA Northern Bosnia, Member of the Central Committee of SDA BiH; Member of the Presidency of SDA from 1998 to 2005; Vice President of SDA BiH from 2005 to 2009, reelected to the same position after the Party's Congress.

Married, father of two.

Scope of Activity:

Administrative, professional and other tasks as laid down by the legislation related to the competencies of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the areas of displaced persons, refugees and returnees, and particularly: gathering and processing data on refugees and displaced persons, coordination of reconstruction activities, together with registration and supervision of the NGOs; creation of conditions for return of displaced persons in their pre-war domiciles, including construction and reconstruction; recovery and repair of homes and other housing units for accommodation of the refugees and displaced persons, running of regional centers for assistance to those activities, as well as other tasks as laid down by the legislation governing this field.
