Minister Desnica Radivojević

CURRICULUM VITAE

Born on December 14, 1952 in Srebrenica.
Elementary and secondary education completed in his hometown.
From the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University in Maribor, Slovenia, in 1979 he received university degree in mechanical engineering, acquiring the title of Graduate Mechanical Engineer. Postgraduate study of business administration (Master of Business Administration) and financial management completed at the CBA Academy, Zagreb, in 2005. At the European University in Belgrade acquired the title of Master of Economic Science in 2006. Doctoral thesis defense scheduled for May 2011 at the European University in Belgrade.

Used to be employed with the Center of High Schools in Bratunac as teacher since 1979. After having served the compulsory military service during 1980, in 1981 he got employed with the company "Energoinvest" Sarajevo – Factory of Car Batteries Srebrenica, working as senior associate, technologist-constructor, then as Director of the Maintenance Service and Assistant Director for Development until 1983.

Duty of the Director of the Factory of Tin Containers ("Fabrika limene ambalaže") Srebrenica, under holding company "UPI" Sarajevo, carried out since 1983 until 1992. In the period between 1992 and 1996 held the position of the Director in the company "Corad" LLC Bajina Bašta.

In 1996 was appointed a member of the Managing Board of the company Elektroprivreda (electrical utility) of the Republic of Srpska, holding this position for two years. Since 1998 until 2000 was reinstated to the position of the Director of the Factory of Tin Containers in Srebrenica. In 2000 was appointed the Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Municipality Srebrenica and held this position until 2002.

Since 2000 used to be a Committee Member in the Assembly of Municipality Srebrenica. For the term 2002 – 2006 he was appointed the Vice-President of the Federation BiH.

In 2006 was appointed a Representative in the House of the Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation BiH. For the term 2007 – 2010 was appointed to the position of the Minister of Trade in the Government of the Federation BiH. On March 17, 2011 was appointed to the position of the Minister of Physical Planning in the Government of the Federation BiH.

Used to be involved in numerous projects such as: Project of Bosniaks Return to Srebrenica; Implementation of UNDP Projects for development of Srebrenica; Projects of the Dutch Government for assistance and development of the Municipality Srebrenica; Project of Social Inclusion, Ireland; Renewable Energy Resource Project, Germany; Projects for preparation of documentation and implementation of factories: Energoinvest Sarajevo, 11th March Sarajevo, UPI Sarajevo.

Preparation of the productional-financial project documentation for numerous companies, and many other projects. Attended numerous profession-related and scientific seminars home and abroad in area of economics. Holds the Certificate on successfully completed training course in area of business plan preparation.

For several times he was awarded acknowledgements for rationalization of the production processes in the companies "Energoinvest" Sarajevo and "UPI" Sarajevo, as well as other recognitions from the community for his contributions to development of the Municipality Srebrenica.

Actively speaks English. Has passive knowledge of German.

Actively uses MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Internet applications.

Married, father of three.

Scope of Activity

Federal Ministry of Physical Planning carries out the administrative, expert and other tasks falling under competence of the Federation BiH related to: physical planning and improvement; policy of land utilization at the Federal level; drafting, enforcing and applying the Physical Plan of the Federation BiH, verifies harmonization of the physical plans of the Cantons with the Physical Plan of the Federation BiH; directing a long-term development in utilization of natural resources; geologic researches; drafting of basic maps – geophysical, seismological, geothermal, minerogenetic, geochemical, geomorphological, and other; preparing geological backgrounds for physical improvements; supervision of appropriate institutions in this sector and other tasks as set out by the applicable legislation.
