Curriculum Vitae
After completion of undergraduate studies he was engaged by the Faculty where he earned Bachelor degree, and in 1989 he started his postgraduate studies in „Phytomedicine“. Doctoral dissertation successfully defended in 2003 at the Mostar University. Title of Docent at the University earned in 2004.Since 1989 until 1992 he was engaged by the Sarajevo University, and since 1997 by the University in Mostar for curricula of undergraduate and graduate studies.As author or co-author, he published more than forty papers in home and foreign magazines and participated in a number of scientific-researching projects.As co-author he published four books issued by the University in Mostar and two collections of papers and one monograph. Specialization trainings completed in USA, Denmark and Great Britain. Since 1990 he was engaged in executive, legislative and political party's bodies. In the BiH Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) he held high positions, from President of the Municipal Committee to the Member of the Executive Committee, of Presidency and Secretary. He held position of Municipal Counselor for two terms, and Secretary of the Office in the Croatian Defense Council of Croatian Republic Herzeg-Bosnia and Deputy Minister of Croatian Republic Herzeg-Bosnia. For two terms he was Representative and Chairman of the Committee of the Parliament of F BiH. Since 2003 until 2006 he held office of the Advisor for Economy to the Croatian member of BiH Presidency. To position of the Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism appointed in 2007. .Active member of various scientific-professional, cultural and sporting associations. Carries out duty of the President of the BiH Handball Federation and of the Member of the Executive Committee of the BiH Olympic Committee. Member of the Croatian Association for Science and Arts BiH. Awarded a number of acknowledgements, prizes and decorations, among them „Gold Charter of Humanism of Decade“ -„as recognition of appreciation and respect for his humanitarian engagement“, awarded by the International League of Humanists in 1994. |
Born on August 23, 1964 in Ljubuški, Municipality Ljubuški. Elementary education completed in Vitina and High Grammar School in Ljubuški. Academic titles of Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science received from the University in Sarajevo. Organizational Structure

Scope of Activity
Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism performs administrative, expert and other tasks falling under competence of the Federation BiH related to: ecological air, water and soil protection; drafting environmental strategy and policy; air, water and soil quality standards; ecological monitoring and control of air, water and soil; drafting of development strategies and policies in area of tourism and catering activity; monitoring of tourist flows and trends in local and international markets; directing the long-term development of tourism within the economic system and other tasks as set out by the applicable legislation.
