Curriculum Vitae
Since 1971 until 1992 used to be teacher of mathematics of the mathematical-IT classes at the Second General High School (Druga gimnazija) in Sarajevo, where headed by her, five students of the school had won Olympic medals of the International Olympics in Mathematics. In 1992 she had started a war school in Novo Sarajevo Municipality. Position of the Principal of the Second General High School in Sarajevo performed since 1993 until 2003. In 1994 she started a “Club of Young Talents”, gathering talented and gifted children (more than 1,000 children had been members of the Club). The same year she was appointed a leader of the BiH Olympic Team to the International Mathematical Olympics in Kong Kong, when the first Olympic medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina was won. Involved in preparation of curricula and reform of education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Member and founder of numerous NGOs. One among the founders of the Party for BiH (Stranka za BiH), member of the Presidency of the Party for BiH, member of the Executive Committee of the Party for BiH. Since 1998 until 2000 she used to be a Representative in the Assembly of the Canton Sarajevo (President of the Club of Representatives) and the Delegate in the House of Peoples of the Federation BiH, and since 2000 until 2002 she was the Representative in the Assembly of the Canton Sarajevo, the Delegate in the House of Peoples of the Federation BIH and Vice-Chairwoman in the House of Peoples of the Federation BiH. Awarded many acknowledgements and recognitions, among those: The 2001 Sixth April Acknowledgement of the City of Sarajevo for her overall contribution to development of the City of Sarajevo in education sector; Letters of Thanks from the Helsinki Committee for her engagement in promotion and improvement of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1998; Gold Plaques for self-sacrificing work and affirmation of the Second General High School Sarajevo. Holder of numerous Diplomas and Certificates for active involvement in various seminars, conferences and round tables home and abroad, treating education, children and youth rights and affirmation of women in politics topics. |

Scope of Activity
Federal Ministry of Education and Science performs administrative, professional and other tasks as laid down by the legislation related to the competencies of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the areas of preschool education, elementary school education and secondary school education, pedagogical standards, standards in area of premises, equipment and teaching aids in preschool, elementary and secondary school education processes,
validation of the foreign school certificates and diplomas, training and professional specialization of the teaching staff, text-books for elementary and secondary schools, researching tasks aimed at improvement of the educational work, standards for university-level education, pupils and students standard of living, development of scientific activity, protection of copyrights and intellectual property, coordination of scientific-researching activities, development of the scientific-researching institutions, encouragement of fundamental applied researches, development of investment technologies and human resources in scientific-researching field, follow-up innovations, development and improvements, and technologies, other tasks as laid down by the legislation governing this field.

Born on May 12, 1948 in Brčko. Bachelor degree received from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Sarajevo, with major in Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry.
