Curriculum Vitae

Born on January 18, 1954 in Sarajevo.

Undergraduate and graduate studies completed at the Sarajevo University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica, gaining the title of the Master of Technical Science.
Since 1973 until early 1992 used to be employed with the Thermal Power Plant «Kakanj» - Kakanj, holding position of the Head Engineer.

After the war, employed with the private family firm «Gas&Metal» LLC as Director.
Between 1977 and 2001 used to hold a function of the Chairman of the Municipal Council Visoko, when he was appointed President of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, holding that position until January 2003.

In the 2002 Elections he won a mandate of the Representative in the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and then of the Delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation BiH, where he was elected a Vice-Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation BiH.

On March 1, 2006, he was appointed to the position of the Minister in the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.
In the 2006 Elections he was elected a Representative in the House of the Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and he held this position until March 30, 2007 when he was re-appointed to position of the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry in the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participated in the war since April 1992, performing various duties, and was demobilized in May 1996 from the position of the Commander of the Brigade. Married, father of two.
